隧道長 110 米，分行人與自行車兩部分，為了區別及安全，兩部分一黑一白，行人一側的地面較另一側高起。然而這些都並非重點，重點在於行人一側由 8 萬塊瓷磚耗時 5 年拼接成的巨幅壁畫。

壁畫原作者 Cornelis Boumeester 以瓷磚畫創作見長，隧道壁畫便是選自其一幅珍藏於阿姆斯特丹國家博物館的作品，畫面描繪了波濤中翻滾的戰船，畫面極其壯美。
